Art from the Heart

26 April at 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

To get the full benefits from this course, we highly recommend you’re able to attend all 4 weeks. This will ensure you’re fully immersed into the process!

Thursday April 26: 11-12:30

Thursday May 3: 11-12:30

Thursday May 10: 11-12:30

Thursday May 17: 11-12:30

Art is fast becoming recognised as a powerful therapeutic medium. Studies have shown that people who express themselves through art can benefit from stress reduction, fighting illness and preserving and improving cognitive function. Not only that – it’s a lot of FUN!!

Brand new for 2018:

Join us for a 4-week art workshop, aimed at encouraging the creative within you to come out to play. This is not an art ‘class’ – we will not attempt to teach you how to paint a masterpiece. Just to express yourself through brush and canvas, whatever form that may result in. You do not need any experience, and stick-man drawings are more than welcome!! Led by self-taught artist and free-thinker, Antony will support and guide your expressionism however you feel drawn, in a fun and positive way.

Antony’s Mantra:

“We are FREE…

-to make mistakes

-to experiment

-to paint badly

-to paint from one’s HEART

-to push ourselves, or not

-to create whatever one chooses…”

This workshop will run across 4 weeks (April 26 to May 17). The intention is to start a painting and following it through to a finished piece, with no attachment to the outcome.

We will provide you with paintbrushes, canvases and acrylic paints, but if you have a preferred medium (such as paper and watercolours) you’re free to bring them along.

We advise that you wear old clothes which you’re happy to get messy!
